The Department of Labor announced that federal contractors will submit the same VETS-100 form for fiscal year 2005 as was used in 2004. The reporting period is August 1 to September 30.

A postcard was mailed to federal contractors in July, stating that contractors are required to submit the report if a contract was entered into before December 1, 2003 and the contract value is $25,000 or more.

It should be noted that the Jobs for Veterans Act amended the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Act of 1974, changing the dollar threshold to $100,000 for contracts entered into after December 1, 2003. Regulations have not yet been promulgated to put these changes into effect for the VETS-100 form.

The VETS-100 form will not be mailed to contractors this year. Forms can be completed on-line or printed from http://vets100.cudenver.edu/. Assistance is also available by calling 301-306-6752 or emailing HelpDesk@vets100.com.
