To move a plan or plans from one computer's installation of The Complete AAP to another's installation of The Complete AAP (assuming neither is on a shared network), follow these instructions:

 1) On the old computer, find the AAP~Data folder and copy it to a CD. This will effectively give you a copy of all companies, plans and settings.
 2) On the new computer, put the AAP~Data folder (that you copied in step 1) anywhere you want. It could be on your local C drive, or you could even leave it on a network drive. You just have to know where you have placed it.
 3) On the new computer, start the Complete AAP and when it asks the "Typical, Custom, and Existing" question, choose "Existing" and then click on the OK button. (If you have already moved past this step, simply click the Companies icon and right click in the Plan~XXXX- _:...\complete aap 11\aapdata\plans\Plan~XXXX box at the bottom of the "Select a company to work with..." window. Choose "Select a different AAP~Data folder to work with" and map your software to the AAP~Data folder you brought over from the old computer. You should see your AAPs appear and there is no need to proceed to step 4 below.)
 4) A directory dialog box will appear. Locate and select the folder called "Aap~Data" and choose OK.

To move a plan or plans from one computer's installation of version 9 or 10 to another's installation of The Complete AAP 20XX, follow these instructions:

 1) On the old computer, find the "Server" folder and copy it to a network drive or a CD.
 2) On the new computer, put the Server folder (that you copied in step 1) anywhere you want. It could be on your local C drive, or you could even leave it on a network drive. You just have to know where you have placed it.
 3) In the new software installation, select Utilities, then select Software Maintenance and then Upgrade a Plan from Version 9 or 10. In the window that appears, use the browse (...) button to locate the Server folder you pasted in step 2. Select the plan you wish to upgrade and then select where you would like the upgrade to be placed. Click OK and you're done.
