You may import one of two different formats into your Adverse Impact table. A Detail File, an example of which is shown below, lists one person per row in a spreadsheet. The file must contain only six columns in the following order: Plan Code, Activity Code, Job Group Code, Job Group Name, Gender and Race. When formatting your data into a Detail file, do not hide columns or rows; instead, delete columns or rows that you do not wish to import. You may, save your file as an Excel (.xls) or comma-delimited (.csv) file. Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 is the preferred file type.

A Summary File, an example of which is shown below, lists one activity per job group per row in a spreadsheet. The file must contain only 15 columns in the following order: Plan Code, Activity Code, Job Group Code, Job Group Name, Total Males, Total Females, Total Whites, Total Blacks, Total Hispanics, Total Asians, Total American Indians, Total Pacific Islanders, Total Two or More, Total Unknown Gender, Total Unknown Race. When formatting your data into a Summary file, do not hide columns or rows; instead, delete columns or rows that you do not wish to import. You may, save your file as an Excel (.xls) or comma-delimited (.csv) file.

Import File Templates

If you wish, you may use the templates found in the Import window.

1) Click on the Import icon.

2) Select desired Adverse Impact template. file:importwizard_aisummary.png

3) Perform a Save As and rename the file.

4) Enter your data into the template. Do not hide columns, and make sure that all formulas have been converted to text before importing.

5) Save as either an Excel (.xls) or comma-delimited (.csv) file.

After you format your files into the desired format, proceed to ImportAdverseImpactData to begin importing Adverse Impact data.

file:wiki_pro_arrow.jpg The Adverse Impact data does not roll up with the employee data when you use the Roll Up Plans utility. If you wish to use the Roll Up Plans utility be certain to include the personnel activities in the appropriate plans’ Adverse Impact import file.
