Roll Up Reports
Rolling up Reports to Supervisor
Jobs and Job Groups when rolling up to an Individual.
Job and job group information is reported for the plan where the employee is included. By regulation, an employee must be “included in the affirmative action program of his manager.” For example: John works at plan A and reports to Tom, his manager at plan B who reports to the individual chosen for rollup who works at Corporate headquarters, plan C. Reports will display John’s job and job group as it is defined in plan B, because this is the plan where he is included in the Availability Analysis and Goals. Likewise, Tom’s job and job group will reflect how they are defined in the Corporate Headquarters plan C where he is included in the Availability Analysis and Goals.
The Complete AAP identifies jobs and job groups based on their code. Assume John has a job code of J0031, named Systems Engineer in his plan A. When running rollup reports, the Complete AAP looks in plan B, where John is included, to see if job code J0031 exists. If job code J0031 is found, it will use this job data in all the reports. For example: plan A may have few employees and John’s job J0031 Systems Engineer is included in a job group called Professionals. John reports to Tom in plan B. Tom’s plan B may be larger and have multiple Professional job groups, such as Administrative Professionals, Engineering Professionals and Systems Professionals. The Complete AAP will check to verify job code J0031 exists in plan B. By including J0031 in plan B, you can choose to place this job into System Professionals or any other job group in plan B. If job code J0031 does not exist in plan B, the Complete AAP uses the job information from plan A to add the job group Professionals to the reports as it is defined in plan A. If there are multiple employees reporting to Tom in plan B, it is possible several may be included in this “virtual” job group called Professionals depending upon how their job is defined in their plan and whether or not their job code is included in plan B.
